200 company to start my own business, my

online marketing world where I
learned about things like e-zines and information
products, passive and leveraged income,
the Law of Attraction and mastermind groups,
even the term “solopreneur,”
which I had never heard before.
I was instantly hooked! I wanted
to learn as much as I could about all of
these tools and how they could help me grow
my business.
Soon, I shifted my focus to work more and
more with other solopreneurs and also incorporate
information products and group programs
into my business model. I was having a blast,
and I was helping my clients get great results.
Only, there was one small problem.
I was working just as hard as before —
only my revenues went down, my expenses
went up and my profits suffered! How
could this be?
It’s simple really. I was
spending just as much time (if not more)
attracting solopreneur clients in a very
crowded market.
Not to mention that dealing with
all the administrative and marketing tasks
in my business was growing exponentially.
It seemed the more clients I had, the more
non-revenue-generating work I was doing.
It didn’t matter if I was working
with these small biz clients one-on-one,
or if I was selling information products

less than my big business clients, I
needed a lot more of them to make
the same amount of money!
What was really ironic about this (I’m
almost embarrassed to share this, but I
really want to give you the full picture
here) was that at the very same time that
I was looking into all these online opportunities,
I was busy teaching my small business clients
to do what I had done to create
my own six-figure business: land lucrative
corporate contracts!
Then a light bulb went on for me. Not only
was my business strongest when I
had a healthy mix of both large and small
business clients — and I
was doing both one-on-one work and using
leveraged income streams — but
I was also having a bigger, more positive
impact in the world too.
